FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why do I feel a tingling sensation when I apply certain products?

That’s the nothing dull attitude at work. AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) are powerful ingredients that chemically exfoliate your skin. A mild, temporary tingling is completely normal. However, we recommend easing into using our AHA containing range, by starting with a low percentage. If irritation persists, wash the affected area and discontinue use.

2. I’m new to AHAs. Where do I start?

Start slowly to build your skin’s tolerance. We recommend beginning with a lower concentration, like the Age Defying Gel Cleanser (2% AHA), and gradually introducing higher concentrations as your skin builds tolerance. Check our suggested introduction rate here for a step-by-step guide.

3. Can I mix the Age-Defying and Bright & Balanced ranges?

Absolutely. Our ranges are designed to work in harmony. You can target texture with AHAs and luminosity and a more even skin tone with Niacinamide within the same routine for a balanced glow.

4. Is Elucent Australian made?

Always. We are proudly Australian owned and made in our own pharmaceutical-grade facility in Melbourne.

5. Do you test on animals?

No way. Elucent is a science-backed brand that does not test its products on animals.

6. Are your products vegan friendly?

Our products do not contain animal derived ingredients.

7. Is it safe to use Elucent Skincare during pregnancy?

We recommend you consult your doctor or obstetrician before using our formulas. They know your skin best and can help you decide if our high-performance ingredients are right for you during this stage.

8. Where can I buy the Elucent range?

Elucent is available for purchase directly through our website or exclusively at Chemist Warehouse stores nationwide. Whether you shop online or in-store, you're getting formulations that are made right here in Melbourne.

9. Which Elucent products should I use for fine lines and wrinkles?

Reach for the Age Defying range. Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) chemically exfoliate the uppermost layer of the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines.

10. Which Elucent products should I use for pigmentation?

11. Which Elucent products should I use for uneven skin texture?

Turn to the Age Defying range. AHAs exfoliate and help to dissolve the “glue” that keeps dead skin cells on the surface of the skin and reveal smoother skin underneath. The Age Defying Gel Cleanser, Resurfacing Serum, Eye Cream, Night Cream and Day Moisturiser help to transform rough, uneven texture into refined, visibly renewed skin.

12. Which Elucent products should I use for uneven skin tone?

The Bright + Balanced range is designed exactly for this. Niacinamide helps to even out the appearance of discolouration. Use the Bright & Balanced range to achieve a brighter, balanced complexion.
